In The Pocket Guide to Neuroscience for Clinicians, I take a deep dive into the application of neuroscience to everyday clinical practice. I believe that an effective therapist must have knowledge of evolution and neuroanatomy, as well as the systems of our brains and how they work together to give rise to who we are, how we thrive, and why we suffer. In this book I attempt to give clinicians the information they need to understand the social brain, brain development, epigenetics, the executive brain, attachment, trauma, memory, as well as new information related to the brain and clinical assessment. I include key figures, a glossary of neuroscience terms, and case examples to bring the material to life.
